Tickle Lipo™ Body Contouring is Now Available Coast to Coast
From New York to California, leading physicians are performing precise liposuction procedures faster, with better results and less downtime for their patients.
Dr. Daniel Ronel is among the first physicians in the U.S. to offer Tickle Lipo™
Leading plastic surgeon sees significant advance in body contouring technology.
July 15, 2010 – A new liposuction procedure that offers better results, faster procedures and high patient satisfaction is now offered by Dr. Daniel Ronel, a board certified plastic surgeon with offices in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Tickle Lipo™ is named for the slight tickling sensation some patients report during the procedure. Tickle Lipo differs from other methods of tumescent liposuction because the cannula is activated by air pressure, causing a whirling movement, infrasound and thus vibration referred to as “nutational”. This patented technique provides faster infiltration of the tumescent solution – 25% faster than other liposuction technology, shortening the length of the procedure.
Tickle Lipo is one of the newest methods of liposuction offered in the United States. The device offers all of the benefits of current liposuction technology without most of the inherent risks.
Unlike other Liposuction techniques that utilize the heat of laser or ultrasound energy, the surgical cannula used in Tickle Lipo stays cool, eliminating the risk of heat injury to tissue. Tickle Lipo can be used to safely and more effectively remove deeper fat as well as superficial fat and to execute "high-definition" sculpting. The physician can also harvest the patient’s fat which is removed during liposuction for use as a long lasting natural facial filler instead of using synthetic injectables.
“This new machine, which is really just new to us, was developed in Belgium and has been used there for some time,” says Dr. Ronel. “It works by using acoustic waves to break up the fat cells, combined with gyrational motion of the tip that happens 10 times per second and does not generate heat. The heat thing was a big deal for me. The little tubes (cannulas) are also only the size of an IV, so it’s much less invasive than traditional lipo.”
“As this machine works, it actually puts in the anesthetic solution at the same time as it melts the fat and sucks it out. This makes it nearly painless, extremely quick, and it’s an in-office procedure that patients will be able to walk out of. This also means quick and easy spot treatments. Also, by having the procedure in-office, it will be notably less expensive because patients won’t have to worry about operating room or anesthesia costs.”
About Dr. Ronel:
Daniel N. Ronel, M.D. specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery of the face and body. He attributes his passion for aesthetics to having been raised in an environment where the arts and sciences played equally important roles. His parents moved from France to Princeton, a small university town near New York City where his father was a respected scientist and the family had easy access to museums, concerts and lectures.
Dr. Ronel graduated with honors from both Princeton University and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. His plastic surgery training was at the New York Presbyterian Hospital program, which includes New York Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Hospital for Special Surgery.
In addition to being a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Ronel is also a board-certified pediatrician. His pediatric training was at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (University of Pennsylvania) and Boston Children's Hospital (Harvard University). He served four years in the Air Force, where he was Chief of Pediatrics at Columbus Air Force Base.
Dr. Ronel’s philosophy is that a physical feature is only a concern when the patient perceives it to be. He strives to understand his patients’ desires, expectations, hopes, and dreams and to accurately convey his ability to achieve the desired results. He embraces both state-of-the-art surgical techniques and centuries-old, non-traditional methods of wound healing. His holistic, personal approach to each patient can make wonderful and amazing things happen.

Dr. Timothy Zelko is the first in the Midwest offering Tickle Lipo next generation liposuction.
Milwaukee physician says new technique offers a significant advance in body contouring.
Four More Leading Physicians Now Offer Tickle Lipo™
June 23, 2010 – Paul Herchman, CEO of Medical Alliance Services (MAS), a distributor of Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction is pleased to announce that four more leading physicians now offer Tickle Lipo™ in their practices.
Tickle Lipo™, named for the slight tickling sensation some patients report during the procedure, employs a unique whirling cannula for the liposuction process.
These leading physicians are the latest to acquire the Tickle Lipo™ system:
Dr. Mary Kay Ross, in Savannah, GA
Dr. Turner Slicho, Fort Worth Lap Band
Dr. Briant Herzog, Herzog Laser Center, Plano, TX
Dr. Daniel Ronel, The New Plastic Surgery, Albuquerque, NM
Tickle Lipo™ differs from other methods of tumescent liposuction because the cannula is activated by air pressure, causing a whirling movement, infrasound and thus vibration referred to as “nutational”. This patented technique provides faster infiltration of the tumescent solution – 25% faster than other liposuction technology, shortening the length of the procedure. The nutational vibration of the cannula also interferes with the brain’s pain receptors in the same way that scratching relieves an itch. A selection of specialized cannulas used in the Tickle Lipo™ technique allows the physician to better maneuver through fibrous or harder to reach areas of fat, enabling precise body contouring.
About Tickle Lipo™ Liposuction:
Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction (NIL) www.nilnow.com, is well known in Europe and is one of the newest methods of Liposuction offered in the United States. NIL was developed with an objective of increasing the physician's performance while decreasing the physician's effort. NIL has been used in thousands of procedures and has been presented at more than 100 scientific sessions world-wide. The NIL System offers all of the benefits of current liposuction technology without most of the inherent risks.
NIL Safety Features: Unlike other Liposuction techniques that utilize the heat of laser or ultrasound energy, the surgical cannula used in NIL stays cool, thus eliminating the risk of thermal (heat) injury to tissue. Additionally, the NIL System includes an automatic shut off when it inappropriately approaches non-fatty tissue such as skin or muscle. These safety features enable the NIL System to safely and more effectively remove deep fat as well as the superficial fat and to execute "high-definition" sculpting.
Another benefit of the gentle non-thermal nutational infrasound also allows physicians to harvest the patient’s fat and helps maximize its viability for transferring back into the patient.
Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction is FDA cleared for the removal of soft tissue and fluid from the body during general surgical procedures including suction lipoplasty for aesthetic body contouring.

to Launch Tickle Lipo ™ U.S. Media Campaign & Marketing Support
Program for Medical Alliance Services.
June 9, 2010 – Paul Herchman, CEO of Medical Alliance Services (MAS), a distributor of Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction from Euromi, announced the engagement of Doctor’s P.R. to lead the Tickle Lipo™ media campaign in the U.S.
Gary Grasso is the director of Doctor’s P.R., a marketing & publicity
agency which has specialized in the medical communications field
since 1994. The agency represents leading aesthetic physicians,
medical equipment manufacturers, related consumer products and book
authors.
"Doctor’s P.R. has been at the forefront of driving increased
name recognition and business development for many of the most popular
aesthetic products and procedures of the past fifteen years including
the FotoFacial, VelaShape, the "Contour ThreadLift", Zerona
and the start-up publicity campaign for Syneron Medical, to name
a few," said Grasso. "Our physician clients include nationally
- known plastic surgeons, dermatologists and leading cosmetic surgeons,
many of whom have been placed on national television through Doctor’s
P.R.”
Tickle Lipo ™, named for the slight tickling sensation some patients
report during the procedure, employs a unique rotating moving cannula
“called nutational” for the liposuction process.
This approach differs from other methods of tumescent liposuction
because the cannula is activated by air pressure, causing a whirling
movement of rotation and thus vibration referred to as “nutational”.
According to Dr. David J. Mozersky of ContourLase Body Institute
in San Antonio, TX, this patented technique provides faster infiltration
of the tumescent solution – 25% faster than other liposuction technology,
shortening the length of the procedure. The vibration of the cannula
also interferes with the brain’s pain receptors in the same way
that scratching relieves an itch. A selection of specialized cannulas
used in the Tickle Lipo™ technique allow the physician to better
maneuver through fibrous or harder to reach areas of fat, enabling
precise body contouring.
Doctor’s P.R. will handle media relations and strategic public
relations for MAS and will also assist Tickle Lipo™ physicians with
news story proposals directed to media in local markets. “Media
exposure has been proven to be extremely effective in assisting
participating physicians to quickly build public awareness of new
aesthetic procedures and to attract patients to the doctor’s office,”
said Grasso.”
Herchman said “We believe that the best indicator of the future
is the past, especially related to building a brand and strategic
public relations. With the proven experience of Doctor’s PR in combination
with the Tickle Lipo clinical benefits for patients and physicians
alike we are confident that Doctor’s PR is the right agency to assist
us in getting the word out about Tickle Lipo. We will also provide
on the internet a Tickle Lipo patient registry where prospective
patients can locate a Tickle Lipo doctor in their area. This should
assist driving more patients to our physician user groups".

Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction, NIL, is a liposuction, fat harvesting and physician support process which utilizes the Lipomatic Technology from Euromi™ and is FDA approved for fat removal and body sculpting. The procedure is quickly becoming known as “Tickle Lipo”. Some patients, while they are awake, during the procedure describe the sensation as “tickling”. The low frequency acoustic INFRASONIC vibration allows for the removal of body fat while respecting the surrounding tissues; resulting in smooth contour and a rapid recovery. The NIL process is a proven reliable system which SAFELY allows for precise, high volume de-bulking in all body areas. The 3-D NUTATIONAL pattern offers notable benefits, especially in the areas of fibrosis (secondary liposuction, backs, and in males). Thousands of these proven and effective systems have been sold worldwide. This video is a collection of before and after pictures, facts and features of the NIL / Tickle Lipo system, and video of the procedure.

Look Hot this Summer While Cooling Off Poolside with Super SmartLipo and Tickle Lipo. Advances in body contouring can help you look your hottest this summer.
May 24, 2010 - American Health And Beauty
As the temperature rises, the bikinis come out, and if you're like
a lot of women, the thought of
shedding your sweaters and jeans
and donning a two-piece is daunting to say the least. Now is the
time to visit your aesthetic physician to get a bikini body you'll
be proud to show off. Dr. Thomas Barnes, an Orange County cosmetic
surgeon specializing in body contouring, offers two quick and effective
solutions to your summer body crisis. Featured on Good Day LA, Dr.
Barnes discusses Super SmartLipo and Tickle Lipo - two of the most
advanced body sculpting procedures available.
Super SmartLipo - Using Cynosure's SmartLipo MPX technology, Dr.
Barnes first melts the fat using
a small laser fiber, and then applies suction to remove the affected
adipose tissue. The laser's heat brings about some skin tightening
by stimulating the growth of collagen, but to provide even more skin
contraction, Dr. Barnes uses the Refirme device from Syneron. This
unit applies radio frequency (RF) energy to the tissues to further
stimulate the collagen, bringing about greater skin contracture,
so that patients who may have needed a tummy tuck in the past can
now avoid that procedure.
"My new 'Super SmartLipo' is a gargantuan jump from any previous version of lipo contouring," says Dr. Barnes. "It’s
much faster than any of its predecessors,
allowing me to do face or body fat contouring in about 30 minutes
and adding Refirme skin tightening causes additional skin firming
beyond the tightening due to SmartLipo. Together they are less invasive,
result in minimal downtime, and result in immediate contouring and
skin tightening."
Tickle Lipo - One of the newest devices for body contouring doesn't
even use a laser or other thermal device, rather, it relies on the
motion of the cannula itself. Custom Acoustic Liposuction, or Tickle
Lipo, utilizes 3-D movement (vibration, rotation and reciprocation)
to break fat away from surrounding tissues and suctions it out at
the same time, combining two of the steps of laser lipo into one.
Many physicians report that this is a faster procedure than some
of the newer laser and ultrasound technologies because of this combination.
This device makes the patient so comfortable that typically, no
general anesthesia is required and the physician can instead perform
the procedure while the patient is awake. Many patients report that
the vibration of the cannula actually tickles as it removes the fat.
If you want this summer to be
your personal hottest, call your
aesthetic physician and discuss with your doctor what body contouring
option is best for your goals.
Medical Alliance Launches National NetFixLipo Physician Office-Based Rental Program for Tickle Lipo Procedure
Dallas, Texas (April 21, 2010) – Medical Alliance Services,
www.medicalallianceservices.com, a US medical technology distribution
and services company, unveils its exciting NetFixLipo program
which provides physicians with immediate access to its Nutational
Infrasonic Liposuction technology. This timely program will
give physicians the ability to immediately offer their patients
the new Tickle Lipo http://www.cal-now.com/tickle_lipo_video.asp
procedure using Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction via the revolutionary
NetFixLipo rental program.
“We wanted to create a unique, innovative program that was
simple and economical to allow more physicians to take advantage
of this exciting technology. Over the past several years physicians
have experienced more competition for patients, a market flooded
with new technologies and a temporary slowdown in demand for
aesthetic procedures such as liposuction. However, regardless
of the financial challenges physicians face, today’s consumer
is more informed, educated and more demanding than ever and they
seek out physicians who are keeping up with the latest technology.
It is with great pleasure that we have decided to partner with
embattled physicians who face these challenges to enable them
to stay on the forefront of the technology curve with little
financial risk,” said Paul Herchman, CEO of Medical Alliance
Services.
“From 1989 until 2001, I was CEO of Medical Alliance, Inc.
(MAI). It was the nation’s largest provider of mobile office-based
surgical and aesthetic services enabling approximately 5,500
physicians to perform well over 300,000 procedures in their offices
by providing access to the latest medical technology on a rental
basis. MAI had a successful 12 year track record of quality and
cost-effectiveness as the nation’s only national office-based
mobile technology provider. With that experience, over the next
several years, we intend to re-build a national niche focused
company – Medical Alliance Services, dedicated to innovation,
forging new markets, thriving on market fragmentation by offering
unique solutions to help physicians succeed as they redesign
their practices to survive under the current economic climate
and the coming health-care reform. We have chosen to offer technology
and business solutions revolving around liposuction and fat transfer
because of the popularity of the procedures, the development
of new less traumatic technologies and because liposuction is
a high revenue procedure which can have a meaningful impact upon
the physician’s bottom-line. With this current trend of increasing
public demand for tumescent office-based liposuction, fat harvesting
and fat transfer, coupled with the effects of a highly restrictive
credit environment in North America, Medical Alliance Services
has decided to introduce this program to help ensure that financially
restrained physicians will have access to the latest technology,”
said Herchman.
NETFIXLIPO PROGRAM
The NetFixLipo program allows physicians performing office-based
tumescent liposuction to easily incorporate Nutational Infrasonic
Liposuction known as the Tickle Lipo procedure into their practice.
See procedure video: http://www.cal-now.com/tickle_lipo_video.asp.
After a MAS representative has in-serviced the physician’s office
and trained the physician and staff, the system is delivered
to the physician’s office via an express carrier. It is returned
a few days later via the express carrier to the MAS processing
center in a prepaid package.
NETFIXLIPO OFFERS PHYSICIAN’S:
The ability to offer patients the latest liposuction technology
and build their practice
The opportunity to stay competitive in their community and
build their reputation as an innovator
A financing mechanism to access technology without traditional
lease and banking commitment
Reduced monthly costs
No long-term capital equipment financing commitment, 1 year
rental agreement
Innovative and proven event marketing, training and support
program
NUTATIONAL INFRASONIC LIPOSUCTION
Nutational Infrasonic
Liposuction is one of the newest methods of Liposuction offered
in the United States. It has been marketed as Custom Acoustic
Liposuction www.cal-now.com in North America and it is also
known in Europe as Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction (NIL).
Remarkably US physicians and their staff nicknamed it Tickle
Lipo because such a large percentage of patients experience
tickling during the procedure.
NIL was first introduced in Belgium by a physician who performed
several Liposuction procedures per day. Liposuction procedures
require a good amount of physical exertion on the part of the
physician performing the procedure so NIL was developed with
an objective of increasing the physician’s performance while
decreasing the physician’s effort. NIL has been used in thousands
of procedures and presented at more than 100 scientific sessions
world-wide. The NIL System offers all of the benefits of current
Liposuction technology without most of the inherent risks. NIL
Safety Features: Unlike current Liposuction techniques that utilize
laser or ultrasound energy, the surgical cannula used in NIL
stays cool, thus eliminating the risk of thermal (heat) injury
to tissue. Additionally, the NIL System includes an automatic
shut off if it inappropriately approaches non-fatty tissue such
as skin or muscle. These safety features enable the NIL System
to safely and more effectively remove deep fat as well as the
superficial fat and create “high-definition” sculpting.
How it Works: CAL differs from other methods of liposuction
because the surgical cannula is activated by air pressure creating
infrasonic movement (vibrating while gently twirling), referred
to as Nutation. With CAL’s patented technique the cannula provides
Turbo Infiltration of the tumescent solution. Turbo Infiltration
is better for the patient because it means better disbursement
of tumescent solution, 25 percent faster numbing, less discomfort
and a shorter procedure. See Tickle Lipo video: http://www.cal-now.com/tickle_lipo_video.asp.
Benefits to the patient:
Procedure done while patient is awake so no general anesthesia
necessary
Bruising is lessened
Little or no pain during procedure
Quicker recovery time
Results are realized almost immediately

Fort Worth Total Body Care Introduce New Liposuction Procedure
Performed In the Physicians Office With Little to No Pain and
it Tickles
Fort Worth, Texas, (April 14, 2010) – Dr. Turner Slicho,
Medical Director, Dr. Adam Smith and Dr. Craig Ferrara of Fort
Worth Total Body Care are pleased to introduce North Texas to
the latest advances in liposuction that can be performed while
the patient is awake -- Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL), quickly
becoming known as the Tickle Lipo procedure. This new type of
liposuction can be performed safely in the physicians’ office,
under local anesthesia, with very little to no pain producing
excellent results.
“Since the creation of Fort Worth Total Body Care our focus
has been on treating patients with weight problems through Laparoscopic
Bariatric Surgeries. With CAL, we can now provide the total body
solution,” said Dr. Slicho. “There are many benefits to using
CAL. It disburses numbing solution faster, comforting patients
faster and because of the infrasonic energy it creates, patients
describe a tickling sensation during the procedure and report
little to no pain.”
How it Works: CAL differs from other methods of liposuction
because the surgical cannula is activated by air pressure creating
a triple 3-D infrasonic movement (vibrating while gently twirling),
referred to as Nutation. With CAL’s patented technique the cannula
provides Turbo Infiltration of the tumescent solution. Turbo
Infiltration is better for the patient because it means better
disbursement of tumescent solution, 25 percent faster numbing,
less discomfort and a shorter procedure.
Benefits to the patient:
Procedure done while patient is awake so no general anesthesia
necessary

HALL PLASTIC
SURGERY INTRODUCES NEW, LESS PAINFUL LIPOSUCTION PROCEDURE PERFORMED
WHILE PATIENT IS AWAKE
Austin, Texas (April 12, 2010) – Dr. Jeffrey Hall introduces
Austin, Texas, to a new type of cosmetic liposuction that can
be performed safely while the patient is awake – Custom Acoustic
Liposuction (CAL).
“I am really excited to be able to offer this new type of liposuction
to my patients,” said Dr. Hall. “Patients love this technique
because it is performed under tumescent local anesthesia, while
they are awake, and there is little-to-no pain during the procedure.
Compared to other liposuction techniques, the technology produces
infrasonic energy which stimulates the nerves and reduces pain
during the procedure. The results are great,”
How it Works: CAL differs from other methods of liposuction
because the surgical cannula is activated by air pressure creating
a triple 3-D infrasonic movement (vibrating while gently twirling),
referred to as Nutation. With CAL’s patented technique the cannula
provides Turbo Infiltration of the tumescent solution. Turbo
Infiltration is better for the patient because it means better

Benefits to the patient:
Procedure done while patient is awake so no general anesthesia
necessary
Bruising is lessened
Little or no pain during procedure
Quicker recovery time
Results are realized almost immediately
“The infrasonic vibration of CAL allows it to glide more easily
through fibrous areas. Because of the assortment of smaller suction
cannulas, I am better able to provide precise body contouring
through small incision,” said Dr. Hall.
About Hall Plastic Surgery:
Hall Plastic
Surgery & Rejuvenation Center is solely owned by Dr. Jeffrey
Hall and Tricia Hall. Dr. Hall, board certified by the American
Board of Plastic Surgery, has been practicing plastic surgery
for more than 12 years and is a member in good standing with
the American Society of Plastic Surgery and other medical associations.
He has served as the President of The Austin Plastic Surgery
Society and is presently Chief of Plastic Surgery for the Seton
Medical Network. Dr. Hall remains active at most Austin area
hospitals.

New Fat Removal
Technology Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL) Performed While
You’re Awake in the Doctor’s Office And It Tickles
San Antonio, Texas (March 24, 2010) – Dr. David J. Mozersky
of ContourLase Body Institute in San Antonio, Texas offers patients
the latest in fat removal liposuction technology - Custom Acoustic
Liposuction (CAL). CAL is performed while the patient is awake
with very little to no pain. Some patients say it tickles.
According to Dr. Mozersky, “The key feature of CAL is the 3-D
nutational vibration during tumescent infiltration, or the numbing
part of the procedure. The tumescent solution, a solution laced
with an anesthetic called Lidocaine and a drug called Epinephrine
used to help minimize blood loss, is pumped into the area through
the vibrating cannula prior to the fat removal. Because of the
nutational vibration of the cannula, patients experience little
to no pain and some patients even say it tickles. Another reason
I like CAL compared to other liposuction technologies, is that
the nutational infrasonic vibration easily glides through fibrous
areas allowing less fatigue for me and more comfort for the patient”.
How it Works: CAL differs from other methods of tumescent liposuction
because the surgical cannula is activated by air pressure causing
a triple 3-D movement (vibration, rotation and reciprocation),
referred to as Nutation. With CAL’s patented technique the cannula
provides Turbo Infiltration of the tumescent solution -- 25%
faster than other liposuction technology shortening the length
of the procedure. Turbo Infiltration is better for the patient
because it means better disbursement of tumescent solution, faster
numbing, less discomfort and a shorter procedure. The vibration
of the CAL cannula also interferes with the brain’s pain receptors
in the same way that scratching relieves an itch. Physicians
refer to this as the GATE theory. With CAL you also have a choice
from a selection of fat suctioning cannulas that better maneuver
through more fibrous fat or harder to reach areas of fat, enabling
precise body contouring.
Benefits to the patient:
Procedure done while patient is awake so no general anesthesia
necessary
Bruising is lessened
Little or no pain during procedure
Quicker recovery time
Results are realized almost immediately

About Custom Acoustic Liposuction:
Custom Acoustic
Liposuction (CAL), known in Europe as Nutational Infrasonic
Liposuction (NIL), is the newest form of Liposuction offered
in the United States. It was first introduced in Belgium by
a physician who performed several Liposuction procedures per
day. Liposuction procedures require a good amount of physical
exertion on the part of the physician performing the procedure.
CAL was developed with the objective of increasing the physician’s
performance while decreasing the physician’s effort. Unlike
current liposuction techniques that utilize laser or ultrasound
energy, the cannula used in CAL stays cool, thus eliminating
the risk of thermal injury to tissue. Additionally, the CAL
System includes an automatic shut off when it approaches non-fatty
tissue such as skin or muscle, thereby protecting the surrounding
tissue from trauma. These safety features enable the CAL System
to safely and more effectively remove deep fat as well as the
superficial fat and create “high-definition” sculpting. The
CAL System offers all of the benefits of current liposuction
technology without the inherent risks. CAL is FDA cleared and
is distributed in the United States by Medical Alliance Services,
www.cal-now.com, and (866) 981-5017.
Medical Alliance
Services and nFinity Medical Consulting Partner to Offer a Turn-Key
Program For Office-Based Tumescent Liposuction
Dallas, Texas (February 8, 2010) – Medical Alliance
Services, a U.S. medical technology distribution and services
company distributing Custom Acoustic Liposuction, and nFinity
Medical Consulting, specializing in medical practice profit improvement,
have announced a new partnership to help physicians successfully
expand or integrate tumescent based liposuction into their offices.
“The goal is to offer a turn-key solution which will assist physicians
to safely, effectively and efficiently shift liposuction procedures
from surgery center environments into the physician office-based
setting”, said Paul Herchman, CEO of Medical Alliance Services.
Bruce Vermeulen, CEO of nFinity Medical Consulting, said: “Over
the past 12 months, we have been engaged by leading plastic surgery
practices to help identify relevant high revenue elective procedures
to maximize the use of the surgeons‟ time and the profitability
and long-term value of their practices. Our engagement has been
to work with these physicians to develop a business strategy
and implementation plan for their practices to be relevant in
the marketplace in the future with medical, procedural and patient
safety being the primary and overriding focus.”
A. Jay Burns, M.D., an assistant professor of plastic surgery
at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and a
partner of the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, said: “Over
the past decade, one of the common occurrences in healthcare
has been the shifting of surgical procedures to more cost effective
environments. Plastic surgeons have seen liposuction shift first
from the hospital setting into AAAHC physician owned surgery
centers and now we are seeing many liposuction procedures shift
to the outpatient setting.” According to the American Society
of Plastic Surgeons, plastic surgeons performed 301,138 liposuction
procedures in 2007 and only 245,138 in 2008. Historically, liposuction
has been in the domain of plastic surgeons, whose primary tools
consisted of traditional surgical techniques. However, industry
experts point out that for the last few years, many major medical
device manufacturers had significant revenues associated with
the sale of office-based liposuction systems to non plastic surgeons.
These non plastic surgeon physicians have driven the shift of
liposuction to the office and have successfully gained market
share by utilizing the latest minimally invasive tumescent based
technologies.
Dr. Burns goes on to say, "I believe that Plastic Surgeons
will need to offer a continuum of body contouring options in
various settings to meet the increasing fat reduction and skin
tightening demands of patients. This will include traditional
operative procedures in the operating room, minimally invasive
outpatient procedures, and the already emerging technologies
which will offer safe and effective non-invasive treatments.
The challenge for all physicians is proper patient selection.
While patients are demanding minimal downtime and restriction
of post operative activities, we as medical professionals need
to strike the optimal balance of patient safety, clinical efficacy
and these patient demands. Many patients seeking office-based
liposuction and even non surgical procedures are simply not good
candidates and should be guided toward more traditional liposuction.
The statistics show more and more patients are having tumescent
based liposuction procedures in the office and recent advancements
in technology are focused on less physical patient trauma, therefore
reducing anesthesia requirements and post surgical recovery.
As plastic surgeons, we have a choice to let those less qualified
do the procedures, or to take outpatient liposuction to a level
that will ensure patient safety and create quality that is not
currently offered. We can lead the way in defining who is a candidate,
what the optimal environment for safety is and what equipment
is optimal to expedite such outpatient procedures.”
Richard Y. Ha M.D., board certified plastic surgeon at the
Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute., said, “We are utilizing the
Custom Acoustic Liposuction system for our outpatient or „awake‟
surgeries as it offers several tangible benefits to our patients.
The 3-D nutational infrasonic vibration mitigates much of any
discomfort experienced during the procedure. I believe that the
art of a successful office-based procedure is to overcome patient
discomfort as much as possible, minimize post surgery downtime
and achieve a realistic clinical result in terms of fat reduction
and skin tightening and we choose the technologies to work with
accordingly.”
Paul Hechman, CEO of Medical Alliance Services said, “I have
been involved in surgical procedures moving to the lowest cost
setting for 20 years and liposuction is proving to be one of
the next procedures which will shift to the office setting. It
is our objective to offer physicians a safe, reliable turnkey
program to meet their need to establish an office-based liposuction
program.” From 1989 until 2001, Paul Herchman was CEO of Medical
Alliance, Inc. (MAI). MAI enabled approximately 5,500 physicians
including Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists, Obstetrics Gynecologists,
Gynecologists, Urologists and Podiatrists, to perform well over
300,000 procedures in their offices by providing access to the
latest technology on an as needed basis. MAI had a successful
12 year track record of quality and cost-effectiveness as the
nation’s only national office-based mobile technology provider.

Liposuction
While You Are Awake! NEW FDA Approved Technology 1st in the New
York Region
(New York, New York January 26, 2010) – Dr. Steven Victor,
medical director at Steven Victor MD MediSpa (www.stevenvictormdmedispa.com)
is pleased to introduce the New York Region to the latest type
of cosmetic liposuction that can be performed while the patient
is awake -- Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL). This new type
of liposuction can be performed in the physicians’ office, under
local anesthesia with very little to no pain with excellent results.
“I am really excited to be able to be the first physician in
the New York Region with this new type of liposuction. Patients
love it because it is performed under local tumescent anesthesia
while the patient is awake, there is little to no pain during
the procedure and the results are great,” said Dr. Victor. Compared
to other tumescent liposuction techniques, CAL disburses tumescent
numbing solution faster, comforting the patient and allowing
me to perform detailed body contouring in a shorter amount of
time.”
“The vibration of CAL allows it to more easily glide through
the fibrous areas and because of the assortment of smaller suction
cannula’s, I am better able to provide high definition body contouring
in the more difficult to reach areas. I have seen more men visit
me for the CAL procedure including those men who have gynecomastia
(enlarged breasts) to have their breast size decreased then contoured
and defined,” Said Dr. Victor.
How it Works: CAL differs from other methods of tumescent
liposuction because the surgical cannula is activated by air
pressure causing a triple 3-D movement (vibration, rotation and
reciprocation), referred to as Nutation. With CAL’s patented
technique the cannula provides Turbo Infiltration of the tumescent
solution. Turbo Infiltration is better for the patient because
it means better disbursement of tumescent solution, faster numbing,
less discomfort and a shorter procedure. The vibration of the
CAL cannula also interferes with the brains pain receptors in
the same way that scratching relieves an itch. Physicians refer
to this as the GATE theory. With CAL you also have a choice from
a selection of fat suctioning cannulas that better maneuver through
more fibrous fat or harder to reach areas of fat enabling precise
body contouring.
Benefits to the patient:
Procedure done while patient is awake so no general anesthesia
necessary
Bruising is lessened
Little or no pain during procedure
Quicker recovery time
Results are realized almost immediately
Precise body contouring
“Compared to some of the newer laser liposuction techniques,
CAL preserves the fat that is removed so it can be used for secondary
fat transfer or cosmetic injection filler procedures whereas
the Laser technique of liposuction liquefies the fat and it cannot
be harvested to inject for cosmetic enhancements. Harvesting
the patient’s own body fat to inject in other body locations
to enhance features is a very hot topic right now amongst the
cosmetic industry,” said Dr. Victor.
About Custom Acoustic Liposuction:

the newest form of Liposuction offered in the United States.
It was first introduced in Belgium by a physician who performed

CAL Safety Features: Unlike current Liposuction techniques
that utilize laser or ultrasound energy, the surgical cannula
used in CAL stays cool, thus eliminating the risk of thermal
injury to tissue. Additionally, the CAL System includes an automatic

What Do You
Have to Lose? At Medilaser Surgery with Using the New Custom
Acoustic Liposuction The Answer Is Unwanted Fat.
Dallas, Texas, (January 22, 2010) -- Custom Acoustic
Liposuction (CAL) www.cal-now.com is the latest technique of
fat removal introduced in the spring of 2009 to the United States
with Dr. Mauricio Giraldo, M.D. and Dr. Chili Robinson, M.D.
playing a key developmental role. Dr. Robinson serves as the
Medical Advisor for Medical Alliance Services, www.medicalallianceservices.com.
Since then, hundreds of procedures have been performed with
excellent cosmetic results. This innovative technique uses a
low frequency vibration cannula, or pipette, that simultaneously
moves in three different ways: circular, lateral and reciprocal.
When adipose tissue is exposed to this vibrating effect, it turns
into an emulsion of viable fat cells readily available to be
aspirated without trauma. As a result, enough fat tissue becomes
suitable for subsequent transfer procedures such as breast augmentation
and buttock lift. Dr. Robinson, Chief of Plastic and Cosmetic
Surgery at MediLaser Surgery and Vein Center in Frisco, Texas, www.medilasersurgery.com has
further improved the technique to achieve the highest degree
of body sculpting possible today.
Custom Acoustic Liposuction tightens the skin and removes accumulated
adipose tissue from subtle areas of the already fitted body in
order to provide a next to ideal contour. “I was given the hourglass
shape I had never had and the amount of compliments I get now
is unbelievable,” said T.R. a 42 year old patient from North
Carolina. Indeed, patients not only recover their younger silhouette,
but some may even acquire the shape they never had. This is possible
because of the safe and sound sculpting work of sub dermal spaces
located in critical aesthetic regions, such as neck, arms, back,
flanks, inner thighs, knees and ankles. CAL provides the edge
to safely perform aggressive contouring of the tissue directly
under the skin, without causing perforation or burns. The instruments
used in CAL stay cool, thus eliminate the risk of thermal injury
to tissue. “We have successfully removed an average of 1500 ml
of fat from non-overweight patients obtaining outstanding results,
even beyond our expectations,” said Mauricio Giraldo, M.D., MediLaser
surgeon.
Custom Acoustic Liposuction is possible because of the precise
removal of fat that spares non-adipose structures such as skin,
blood vessels, nerves and muscle. Consequently, the tissue under
the skin of problematic areas can be worked well without damage.
Furthermore, the effect of the method usually continues beyond
the procedure itself. The skin reacts with a progressive tightening
that further contours the new body core. This phenomenon is caused
by the vibrating cannula against the dermis that triggers healing
signals to recruit collagen producing cells. This mechanism of
skin tightening is different than other liposuction techniques
such as ultrasound, laser and radiofrequency ablation which initiate
heat mediated collagen retraction. “By causing a controlled subcutaneous
wound, CAL simply tricks the body to produce more collagen in
treated areas,” Dr. Giraldo added.
In addition to the benefits above described, CAL has been exceptionally
successful in re-do liposuctions. Previous fat extractions procedures
create scar tissue and fibrosis that increase the risk of trauma
and bleeding of subsequent liposuctions. The gentle vibrating
effect of CAL makes the traveling of the cannula throughout the
scarred subcutaneous space smooth and easy. There is no trauma
and the blood loss is minimal. Likewise, CAL can be performed
in the context of previous tummy tucks. Again, CAL cannulas softly
travel through fibrous tissue as the related residual fat is
separated and subsequently removed. Drs. Robinson and Giraldo
have successfully performed this procedure in patients who have
residual lateral fat accumulation after tummy tucks and in patients
with abnormal fat accumulation just distal to the C-section surgical
scars.
A European review study published in 2006 concluded that custom
acoustic liposuction (CAL) is the most safe, effective and precise
surgery that can be used in any of the modern indications of
liposuction. This study compared suction assisted lipolysis (SAL),
laser assisted liposuction (LAL), power assisted liposuction
(PAL), internal ultrasound assisted liposuction (iUAL), external
assisted liposuction (eUAL), and VASSER assisted liposuction.
Dr. Robinson arrived to the same conclusion based on his experience
in the United States. Finally, CAL liposuction is built with
a safety feature that deactivates the vibrating device when the
cannula reaches a non-fat structure such as skin or muscle. In
addition, since it is not a heat mediated fat melting process,
CAL does not cause thermal injuries and, because it is performed
under local anesthesia, the patient indicates whether there is
a harmful stimulus or not. To date, there are no reported mortalities
or major complications related to CAL.
Both Drs. Robinson and Giraldo play an integral part in the
National Physician Observation Program, a service introduced
by Medical Alliance Services. Essentially, this program will
create qualified centers devoted to the direct transfer of information
about Custom Acoustic Liposuction from physician to physician.
These dedicated offices, or Physician Observation Centers, will
allow interested doctors to monitor procedures and ask questions
to the operating physicians. Dr. Robinson states, "Since
1981, I have used most of the liposuction technologies on the
market. Now I am very excited to have access to this proven tool.
While working with physicians in Europe I was able to gather
the data and the experience I needed to implement CAL into my
practice. I recommend CAL to other physicians as part of their
aesthetic procedures offering." Paul Herchman, CEO of Medical
Alliance Services, created this opportunity for doctors to enhance
their technical, practical, clinical and procedural knowledge
of CAL in an authentic medical setting. Herchman says, “In today’s
tough economic times and competitive markets it is very difficult
for knowledgeable practicing physicians to take the time to share
experience with their peers. By allowing visiting physicians
to observe actual genuine procedures in the Observation Centers,
physicians are able to ask and answer questions in “real-time”
about Custom Acoustic Liposuction and its processes without having
to travel long distances. We believe that transferring information
via physician-to-physician is vital to empowering the doctor
to make educated decisions about technology and help deliver
the best patient care possible.”
Medical Alliance Services will be announcing specific information
about these centers in the coming months. Physicians’ wishing
to observe CAL procedures at a Physician Observation Center should

This program demonstrates our commitment to the safe and effective
use of our Custom Acoustic Liposuction technology. The opportunity
for physicians to observe live procedures enables both the beginning
liposuction physicians and the seasoned liposuction physicians
to enhance their technical, practical, clinical and procedural
knowledge in an authentic medical setting.
Historically, the use of physician observation services has
proven to be an effective way to allow physicians to formulate
significant evaluations of medical technology and procedures.
Physician-to-physician discussions about medical procedures are
a preferred method by which most medical doctors wish to obtain
knowledge. Herchman says, “In today’s tough economic times and
competitive markets it is very difficult for knowledgeable practicing
physicians to take the time to share experience with their peers.
By allowing visiting physicians to observe actual genuine procedures
in the Observation Centers, physicians are able to ask and answer
questions in “real-time” about Custom Acoustic Liposuction and
its processes without having to travel long distances. We believe
that transferring information via physician-to-physician is vital
to empowering the doctor to make educated decisions about technology
and help deliver the best patient care possible.
We currently have numerous Physician Observation Centers established
and are in discussions to add many other observation centers
in geographically desirable locations across the US. Medical
Alliance Services will be announcing specific information about
these centers in the coming months. Physicians’ wishing to observe
CAL procedures at a Physician Observation Center should contact
(866) 981-5017 or visit info@ticklelipo.com for further information.
About Custom Acoustic Liposuction:
Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL), known in Europe as Nutational
Infrasonic Liposuction (NIL), is the newest form of Liposuction
offered in the United States. It was first introduced in Belgium
by a physician who performed several Liposuction procedures per
day. Liposuction procedures require a good amount of physical
exertion on the part of the physician performing the procedure
so CAL was developed with an objective of increasing the physician’s
performance while decreasing the physician’s effort. CAL has
been used in thousands of procedures and presented at more than
100 scientific sessions world-wide. The CAL System offers all
of the benefits of current Liposuction technology without most
of the inherent risks. CAL is FDA cleared for the removal of
soft tissue and fluid from the body during general surgical procedures
including suction lipoplasty for aesthetic body contouring and
is distributed in the United States by Medical Alliance Services,

Medical Alliance
Services Launches National Custom Acoustic Liposuction Physician
Office-Based Rental Program
Dallas, Texas (November 10, 2009) – Medical Alliance Services,
a US medical technology distribution and services company, announces
the launch of their Medical Alliance Access Program, (MAAP).
This program will give physicians the ability to immediately
provide Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL) technology to their
patients via a simple rental program. “We wanted to create a
unique, innovative program that would specifically and immediately
address the needs of financially strained physicians in a US
economic climate turned upside down,” said Paul Herchman, CEO
of Medical Alliance Services.
From 1989 until 2001, Paul Herchman was CEO of Medical Alliance,
Inc. MAI enabled approximately 5,500 physicians to perform well
over 300,000 procedures in their offices by providing access
to the latest technology on a rental basis. MAI had a successful
12 year track record of quality and cost-effectiveness as the
nation’s only national office-based mobile technology provider.
“It is with great pleasure that I have been able to reorganize,
reignite and gain commitments from many of the past contributors
from our past days at MAI. Over the next several years, we intend
to re-build a national niche focused company dedicated to innovation,
new market creation and thriving on market fragmentation by offering
unique solutions to help physicians succeed as they redesign
their practices to survive under the current economic climate
and the coming health-care reform.”
The MAAP program is a rental plan that allows office-based
physicians to rent MAS’s Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL) technology
and also enjoy the benefit of the MAS support services. CAL differs
from other methods of Liposuction by utilizing a cannula activated
by air pressure causing a triple 3-D movement (vibration, rotation
and reciprocation), referred to as Nutation. With CAL's patented
technique, the cannula provides “Turbo Infiltration” of the tumescent
solution, which is better for the patient because it means better
disbursement of tumescent solution, faster numbing, less discomfort
and a shorter procedure. CAL's patented 3-D Nutational Infrasonic
Vibration also enables the cannula to more easily glide through
fibrous areas allowing less fatigue for the surgeon and more
comfort for the patient. Physicians can better provide high definition
body contouring in the more difficult to treat areas including
scarred areas. The vibration mitigates most discomfort during
infiltration, allows more fat removal and ultimately less bruising
and shorter recovery time.
The MAAP program was designed to help US physicians to immediately
build their liposuction practices and also to help MAS rapidly
establish a national network of trained Custom Acoustic Liposuction
physicians where interested patients could have the procedure
performed. Medical Alliance Services CEO, Paul Herchman said,
“Now is the time, especially in today’s difficult environment
for physicians to utilize creative financing programs to build
their practice revenues. Physicians should focus their efforts
on their practice, their existing patients and high revenue income
opportunities by working smarter and harder than ever.”
MAAP PROGRAM PHYSICIAN BENEFITS

Aesthetic
Med Device Start-up Launches Revolutionary Custom Acoustic Liposuction
(CAL) System and www.cal-now.com Consumer Information Website
Custom Acoustic
Liposuction (CAL) - A physician’s perspective on why this new
fat removal and body contouring system is best for both the patient
and their doctor...
Dallas, Texas (September 30, 2009) - "I believe in staying
on the cutting edge. There are so many devices out there; right
now I have a dozen on my desk. My responsibility is to study
these devices, and provide only those that are effective and
safe. Patients deserve access to new technology that has been
put through the due diligence process by their doctor especially
when it comes to procedures which are elective."
What’s in a name? In the case of Innovations MedSpa, founder
and Chief of Staff, Dr. Bill Johnson says, "everything." The
name of the practice conveys his philosophy that extraordinary
care and the best results can only be achieved by staying on
the leading edge of a specialty. And when the specialty is aesthetic
medicine technology—that is quite a commitment. Surpassed only
by the growing demand for cosmetic procedures are the hundreds
of "new and improved" treatments and devices promising the "next
generation" state-of-the-art methodology. Dr. Johnson’s primary
emphasis is on skin care treatments and body shaping —two of
the most sought after procedures. In fact, in 2008 over 245,000
men and women had liposuction making it second to breast augmentation
in popularity. So, what is the difference between all the liposuction
techniques we hear about? At the end of the day, do they achieve
similar results? Before considering any type of fat removal,
it is important to understand the history and science behind
each method. Here, Dr. Johnson explains what every prospective
patient should know about liposuction and an exciting new method
he prefers for his patients.
"Each type of Liposuction has its distinct advantages
and disadvantages. There are a number of new power assisted tools
and techniques that assist the physician and improve the experience
for the patient." Dr. Johnson believes that unless a physician
chooses to specialize in liposuction, it is difficult to keep
up with new technologies, much less become an expert at several
techniques. An
early adopter of Smart Lipo, Dr. Johnson was impressed with its’
skin tightening effect, but found it difficult to remove large
amounts of fat. "I began searching for a device that would improve
my ability to maximize the infiltration and suctioning part of
liposuction. That is when I was introduced to Custom Acoustic
Liposuction, CAL. The key difference is the 3-D nutational vibration
aspect during infiltration, or numbing part of the procedure." According
to Dr. Johnson, standard procedure calls for small incisions
to be made in the areas to be treated in order to insert the
cannula carrying the tumescent solution. With CAL, the 3-D nutational
infrasonic vibration easily glides through fibrous areas allowing
less fatigue for the surgeon and more comfort for the patient,
with the added bonus of better overall diffusion of the tumescent
fluid. The tumescent fluid, a solution laced with an anesthetic
called Lidocaine and a drug called Epinephrine used to help minimize
blood loss, is pumped into the area prior to fat removal. Unlike
Standard Liposuction, Ultrasonic Liposuction and Smart Liposuction,
CAL infiltrates tumescent fluid approximately 25% faster. "One
of its’ key benefits is the fact that you move the cannula in
and out less, with fewer passes, it’s less traumatic for the
patient. There is also the aesthetic component from the suction
cannulas being used. Vaser offers different size cannulas but
they don’t do different things. CAL’s smaller suction cannulas
are ideal for detail work or fat transfer. The CAL system comes
with a variety of cannula sizes, shapes and designs for better
contour and artistry."
After treating over 100 patients with CAL, Dr. Johnson says
his biggest surprise was how valuable it was in secondary cases.
"Performing liposuction in an area that has already been treated
is tricky because of the scarring. The ease of doing these cases
has been quite impressive and the amount of fat removed is incredible.
We used Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction on a 118lb. woman and
thought we aspirated all we could, but during a second procedure
on her abdomen we aspirated an additional pound of fat - 600cc.
That speaks to getting out more fat in a primary patient as well."
Who is the best
candidate for CAL? Dr. Johnson emphasizes the best candidate
for any liposuction is someone who is close to ideal weight range
but has an area of fat that just won’t go away, such as saddle
bags or love handles. "I am eager to recommend CAL to patients
because the vibration mitigates most of the discomfort during
infiltration, allows more fat to be removed and there is ultimately
less bruising and less recovery time since there are not as many
passes with the cannula." He also points out that liposuction
does not mean a hospital stay with general anesthesia. Dr. Johnson
performs liposuction under local anesthesia in his office and
recovery is usually just a few days at home. A hearty recommendation
is also extended to his peers. "If you are a physician interested
in saving time and labor versus other techniques while keeping
your liposuction results extraordinary, you will want to learn
more about Custom Acoustic Liposuction, CAL. I’ve found it to
be the most effective fat removal system used in cosmetic surgery.
It offers a good price point, delivers the optimal amount of
anesthetic, and a more comfortable recovery for the patient."

S.A. doctor
says new vibrating liposuction faster, less painful for patients
Many different methods of liposuction
are now available in the US, with one more recently approved,
what do they all have in common
Used in Europe for years, Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction
(NIL) is also known as Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL) and
Lipo-Vibe. While the names might be a bit confusing, the science
seems to be solid and thanks to recently gained FDA approval,
it's now coming into favor across the US. There are now many
options available to liposuction patients.
Traditional
liposuction uses a cannula, a long narrow tube which is inserted
under the skin. The cannula breaks up and suctions out excess
fat in the selected treatment areas, which can be just about
anywhere, most popularly the stomach, buttocks, and thighs. Patients
typically undergo general anesthesia for the procedure and recovery
can be a difficult process. There are now many methods of lipo
that use different methods to break up the fat before it is suctioned
out, reducing trauma on the patient.
Tumescent liposuction pumps fluid into the treatment area.
Body-Jet Liposuction works similarly and is also known as Water-Jet
by pumping water into the area which helps to break up the fat
while also preserving the other tissues present. The benefits
include an easier recovery, minimal risk as the procedure is
often performed under local anesthesia, and a quicker treatment
time. Laser lipolysis goes by many names, including SmartLipo,
SlimLipo, ProLipo, and more. In this liposuction method, the
fat is melted by tissue specific lasers, and is then suctioned
out with a very small cannula. Many of these lasers are also
able to tighten the overlying skin, helping to avoid the trauma
of removing portions of skin. Laser lipolysis usually requires
only local anesthesia and patients report less bruising and a
fast recovery.
Vaser Liposelection, and Vaser Hi-Def use ultrasound technology
to loosen and melt the fat before it is removed. It is tissue
selective as well and performed under local anesthesia. In a
recent poll of US physicians, Vaser received a 95% approval rating.
Similarly to other 'alternative' lipo techniques, patients recover
quickly and have minimal bruising. It is able to tighten the
skin and is very precise.
LipoVibe differs from the others by using 3D acoustic energy.
By using a three way combination of rotation, vibration, and
reciprocation, the acoustic energy is emitted a lower, infrasonic
frequency which is considerably safer than ultrasonic waves.
The cannula remains cool during the procedure, keeping the patient
safer.
About the only thing that these technologies have in common
is that they remove the fat that you can't get rid of. While
they all have their risks, most are minimal and the majority
of patients are pleased with their results. Doctors are able
to use the new lipo technologies to see the results as they go,
which has resulted in less repeat treatments. Some patients will
still have some rippling of the skin or may need longer to recover.
Discuss all of your options and your goals with your plastic
surgeon. Your individual goals and medical makeup will determine
which technology is right for you.

LIPOSUCTION
BREAKTHROUGH! A New Safer Choice in Liposuction Technology
For Immediate Release
September 1, 2009
Phoenix, Arizona (September 1, 2009) – Dermacare Cosmetic Surgery
is the first cosmetic surgery practice in Arizona to offer Lipo-Vibe.
Custom Acoustic Liposuction, referred to as Lipo-Vibe, is the
newest FDA approved liposuction technology in the United States.
Known as Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction in Europe, it was
first introduced in Belgium and has been used in thousands of
procedures and presented at more than 100 scientific sessions
worldwide since 1997.
How is Lipo-Vibe different? Lipo-Vibe is unique in that
it utilizes air pressure to generate 3D acoustic (sound) energy.
This energy differs from ultrasound energy in 2 ways: its 3D
movement pattern and its frequency range. Rather than the one-dimensional
vibration of ultrasound, Lipo-Vibe generates a more effective
3-dimensional movement. This 3-D triple movement of vibration,
rotation and reciprocation is referred to as nutational movement.
The unique pattern of movement enables the Lipo-Vibe to operate
at lower (infrasonic) frequencies which are much safer than the
high-frequency energy generated by ultrasound.
Lipo-Vibe can more easily and safely access areas of the body
that are difficult to treat with current liposuction technologies
such as areas of fibrosis or scarring from prior surgical procedures.
Its unique vibration pattern allows for precise body sculpting
with less trauma to tissue. The patient experiences less swelling,
less bruising and less discomfort. Additionally, the tri-plane
vibration stimulates collagen synthesis, facilitating post-op
skin tightening.
The Lipo-Vibe provides less pain because its vibration interferes
with nerve transmission. Often referred to as The Gate Control
Theory of Pain, (by Ronald Melzack, Canadian psychologist and
Patrick David Wall, British physician), this interaction between
different types of neurons through vibration alters an individual's
perception of pain.
How is Lipo-Vibe Safer? Unlike current liposuction techniques
that utilize laser or ultrasound energy, the cannula used in
Lipo-Vibe stays cool, thus eliminating the risk of thermal injury
to tissue. Additionally, the Lipo-Vibe includes an automatic
shut off when it approaches non-fatty tissue such as skin or
muscle, thereby protecting the surrounding tissue from trauma.
These safety features enable Lipo-Vibe to safely and more effectively
remove deep fat as well as the superficial fat and create "high-definition"
sculpting. Lipo-Vibe
offers all of the benefits of current liposuction technology
without the inherent risks.
"We are excited to offer this new liposuction technology to
our patients", said Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Gael DeRouin. "I have
used many different liposuction modalities throughout the years
from conventional liposuction to the current laser and ultrasound
liposuction equipment. I am impressed that this new Lipo-Vibe
can really get the job done and allows me to offer my patients
additional safety and less discomfort."

BARONE PLASTIC
SURGERY OFFERS LATEST FORM OF LIPOSUCTION, BETTER PRECISION AND
CONTOURING IN DIFFICULT TO TREAT AREAS
For Immediate Release
August 28, 2009
San Antonio, Texas (August 28, 2009) – Word is spreading
fast and patients are asking for this latest form of liposuction
-- Nutational 3-D Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL) at Barone
Plastic Surgery.
Sara,
a 27 year old person who works full time in the medical field
wanted to get rid of the extra fat around her love handles and
her knees, but wanted to return to work the very next day. A
friend of hers had just undergone a new type of liposuction procedure
at Dr. Constance Barone’s Plastic Surgery Practice in San Antonio,
Texas and she was ecstatic over the results so Sara decided to
go see Dr. Barone to find out more about this new form of liposuction.
"Patient care is my number one concern and when a new technology
becomes available, I investigate the product thoroughly, said
Dr. Constance Barone. This new type of liposuction is FDA cleared
and has been proven to be safe and effective in clinical studies.
It has been used in Europe to treat thousands of patients and
is now becoming the most popular form of liposuction in the U.S.
This technology is advanced in that the Cannula on the 3-D Custom
Acoustic Liposuction System, which is the part that is inserted
through the dermis then positioned down to the subcutaneous (fat)
layer, vibrates and rotates allowing me to glide through the
fat much more easily. I am able to get very close to the outer
dermis layer of the skin, where those dimples are and remove
them without harming the skin. It enables me to treat those tough
areas that I was unable to treat with other liposuction systems".
About Custom Acoustic Liposuction::
Custom Acoustic
Liposuction is safer for the patient for several reasons. The
system includes an automatic shut off when it senses a change
in tissue density (non-fatty tissue), protecting surrounding
anatomy. And, unlike other liposuction systems, the Custom Acoustic
Liposuction system uses a no heat cannula which when inserted
into the fatty tissue does not heat or burn the surrounding
tissue or anatomy. This no heat cannula also preserves the fat
allowing for secondary fat transfer cosmetic procedures.
This new type of liposuction allows for better precision in
difficult to treat areas (neck, face, back and ankles) and areas
of great fibrosis (secondary procedures, scarring, prior liposuction,
and gynecomastia).
CAL differs from other liposuction in that it utilizes a cannula
activated by air pressure forming a Nutational 3-D triple movement
of vibration, rotation and reciprocation. This method removes
fat more efficiently, safely and effectively than other techniques,
respecting the non-fatty tissues and surrounding anatomy. This
allows precise body sculpting with less patient trauma, reduction
of edema, bruising and less discomfort. The fat is suctioned
simultaneously during the process with fewer cannula passes,
shortening the procedure time.
Custom Acoustic Liposuction is the most recent form of liposuction
offered in the United States. Known as Nutational Infrasonic
Liposuction in Europe, it was first introduced in Belgium and
has been used in thousands of procedures and presented at more
than 100 scientific sessions worldwide since 1997.
CAL is FDA cleared for the removal of soft tissue and fluid
from the body during general surgical procedures including suction
lipoplasty for aesthetic body contouring. CAL is distributed
in the United States by Medical Alliance Services, www.cal-now.com,
and (866) 981-5017.

Nutational
3-D Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL) rapidly becomes technology
of choice by U.S. physicians -- makes its way through the Southwest
For Immediate Release
August 26, 2009
San Antonio, Texas (August 26, 2009) - Dr. Thomas Jeneby,
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon at The Plastic and Cosmetic Center
of South Texas is amongst the first U.S. physicians to offer
Nutational 3-D Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL), the newest
form of Liposuction now available in the U.S.

"I am amazed by how much less physical effort on my part this
new innovative form of Liposuction takes. The Nutational 3-D
mechanism of action enables me to glide through the fibrous fatty
tissue more easily and is ideal for those patients who’ve had
prior surgeries or scar tissue, said Dr. Thomas Jeneby, Board
Certified Plastic Surgeon. My patients have a faster post-op
recovery, less bruising and less pain. In fact, some of my patients
say the 3-D vibration sensation from the cannula actually tickles
them and they start laughing during the procedure".

scarring, prior Liposuction, and gynecomastia).
Custom Acoustic Liposuction is FDA cleared and is safer for
the patient for several reasons. The system includes an automatic
shut off when it senses a change in tissue density (non-fatty
tissue), protecting surrounding anatomy. Unlike other Liposuction
systems, the Custom Acoustic Liposuction system uses a no heat
cannula which when inserted into the fatty tissue does not heat
or burn the surrounding tissue or anatomy. This no heat cannula
also preserves the fat allowing for secondary fat transfer cosmetic
procedures. CAL is distributed in the United States by Medical
Alliance Services, www.cal-now.com, and (866) 981-5017.

Nutational
Infrasonic Liposuction (NIL) Fastly Becoming Physician Technology
of Choice in the U.S.
For Immediate Release
July 16, 2009
Frisco, Texas (July 16, 2009) - Dr. Chili Robinson, board certified
plastic surgeon at MediLaser Surgery and Vein Center in Frisco,
Texas, is pleased to announce that he and his team are performing
high-definition liposuction and upright patient assisted liposuction.
Dr. Robinson said: "The better outcomes my patients receive are
because of the techniques made possible through my understanding
and use of the Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction (NIL) System,
which is already a popular form of liposuction in Europe".
After traveling to Belgium in February 2009, Dr. Robinson performed
the first NIL procedure in the United States in March 2009. He
then began providing U.S. physician training in April 2009. Dr.
Robinson goes on to say: "I have been performing liposuction
procedures since 1983; I believe that this is one of its most
significant improvements, especially related to the infiltration
of the tumescent anesthesia to improve patient comfort. Those
patients of mine who have undergone prior forms of liposuction
tell me that the vibration effect from the NIL System provides
a much more comfortable and gentler experience". The simultaneous
injection of local anesthesia and the vibration of the Nutational
Infrasonic system distract the brain and reduce discomfort. This
is explained in medical literature as exploiting the "gate control
of pain" where an inhibitory interneuron in the spinal cord reduces
pain transmission to the brain.
Dr. Robinson joined Mauricio Giraldo, MD in his practice at
MediLaser Surgery and Vein in Frisco, Texas earlier this year.
Drs. Giraldo and Robinson performed the first NIL under straight
local anesthesia (no sedation) in the United States. "The pain
was minimal throughout the entire procedure and within 18 hours
I was back to my normal activities. I definitely recommend this
procedure to anyone," said F.V., from Carrolton, Texas. Dr. Giraldo
was further trained by Dr. Jean Malak, M.D, the inventor of Nutational
Infrasonic Liposuction in Belgium and said: "I am extremely pleased
to be offering NIL to my patients. Through this novel technique
surgeons are now able to sculpt the body while the patient is
in a comfortable and upright position, improving the final cosmetic
result and patient satisfaction".
The LipoMatic Nutational Infrasonic LipoMatic System, known
in America as NIL, uses air pressure that drives the tip of the
cannula into a 3D/triple movement of vibration, rotation, and
reciprocation known as nutation that causes emulsification of
subcutaneous fat. The emulsified fat is aspirated simultaneously
during the nutation process with fewer cannula passes, shortening
the procedure time. It allows precise body sculpting with less
trauma (edema, bruising and discomfort). In addition, the 3D
vibration against skin stimulates collagen synthesis inducing
skin tightening. This effect provides the opportunity of avoiding
larger procedures such as tummy tuck or conventional breast reduction.
The NIL process removes fat more effectively than other techniques,
sparing lymphatic, neurovascular and non-fatty tissues. Other
popular forms of liposuction use a variety of energy sources
that cause heat to emulsify fat putting non-fat structures like
skin, blood vessels and nerves at risk. The advantages of NIL
over other techniques include: improved operator ease-of-use,
shorter operation time, less pain, shorter recovery time, easier
access to delicate areas, such as neck, knees, calves and buttocks
and superior overall skin appearance.

About Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction, Inc. (NIL):
NIL www.nilnow.com is one
of the most recent liposuction techniques introduced to the US.
It has been used in thousands of procedures and presented at
more than 100 scientific sessions worldwide since 1997. It is
safe, effective, precise and cost effective. The nutation principle
allows the removal of the fat tissue with minimal harm to surrounding
structures; the result is a smoother contour and a shorter post-operative
period. It also provides access with greater precision to more
difficult to treat anatomy such as neck, face, back and ankles
or to fibrotic areas such as secondary liposuctions, prior surgery
areas, cesarean sections or male patients. The system has a built-in
safety feature where it stalls when non fatty tissue is met by
the cannula. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) provided
NIL 510(k) clearance for the removal of soft tissue and fluid
from the body during general surgical procedures including suction
lipoplasty for aesthetic body contouring. NIL is distributed
in the United States by a group of companies including Medical
Alliance Services, www.medicalallianceservices.com,
and (866) 981-5017.

Dr. Chili
Robinson Discusses Benefits of Using FDA Cleared Nutational Infrasonic
Liposuction (NIL) Technology in the Treatment of Fat With Fellow
Physicians at The Aesthetic Show 2009 in Las Vegas
For Immediate Release
June 16, 2009
Dallas, Texas (June 16, 2009) – Chili Robinson, MD introduces
Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction (NIL), a new proven form of
liposuction to the United States at The Aesthetic Show 2009 in
Las Vegas. Already one of the most popular forms of liposuction
for years in Europe, Dr. Robinson states, "Since 1981, I have
used most of the liposuction technologies on the market. Now
I am very excited to have access to this proven tool. While working
with physicians in Europe I was able to gather the data and the
experience I needed to implement NIL into my practice. I recommend
NIL to other physicians as part of their aesthetic procedures
offering." Liposuction is the third most popular aesthetic procedure
in the US, totaling 314,000 procedures in 2008, according to
the American Society of Plastic Surgery.
A Belgium liposuction surgeon developed NIL when he sprained
his elbow and needed to replace muscle effort with technology.
Now the objective is aiding the physicians’ performance while
significantly decreasing the physicians’ effort. The nutational
infrasonic principle allows the removal of the fat tissue with
little harm to any other tissues; the result is a shorter post-operative
period. It also allows better precision in difficult to access
areas such as the area near the ribs. It is effective where there
is more fibrotic tissue such as secondary liposuctions, prior
C-Sections and male liposuctions. It markedly reduces the risks
inherent to other lipolysis techniques, as the cannulas do not
heat up, thereby avoiding the danger of skin burning and necrosis.
Another advantage of NIL is that it avoids damage to healthy
fat cells so they can then be used elsewhere in the body during
fat transfer procedures.
NIL uses a cannula powered by air pressure, which drives the
tip in reciprocal, rotation and vibration directions. This triple
movement "nutation," morselizes the fatty tissue allowing easier
evacuation. Emulsification is avoided, thus preserving the viability
of the fat cells. Less trauma minimizes edema and swelling, resulting
in a faster recovery. Most importantly, the tri-plane vibration
stimulates collagen synthesis, facilitating postoperative skin
tightening.

New Lipo
Option for Dallas -- Vibration Assisted Liposuction (VAL) or
Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction (NIL)
Vibration Assisted Liposuction (VAL) or Nutational Infrasonic
Liposuction (NIL) is the newest liposuction technique to enter
this fast paced market. Dr. Bill Johnson of Innovations Medspa
in Dallas, TX has recently introduced Vibration Assisted Liposuction
to the United States. This procedure differs from traditional
methods by using a cannula activated by air pressure. The air
pressure provides a vibrating motion, or "nutation," which moves
the tip in a circular displacement, thereby allowing more effective
removal of fat and easier sculpting.
The 10Hz vibration frequency brings about endorphin release
during the procedure, increasing patient comfort. Furthermore,
VAL or NIL enhances specialty sculpting in abdominal procedures.
Other benefits are less swelling, bruising, swifter recovery,
and decreased tissue trauma.
The advantage for patients are:
Less trauma
Less swelling (edema)
Less chance of irregularities
Faster recovery
Less pain
Dr. Bill Johnson stated, "The decreased discomfort
during the numbing process and the quality of fat that is removed
is very impressive…and the post-op swelling and bruising is
far less than with previous technologies."

Vibration
Assisted Liposuction, Introduced To U.S. By Dr. Bill Johnson
New Liposuction Technology Deemed Safest,
Most Effective & Precise Surgery
Dallas, TX—May 5, 2009 — Bill Johnson, M.D.,
M.M.M. of Innovations Medspa in Dallas, Texas is the first physician
in the United States to offer Vibration Assisted Liposuction
(VAL). VAL’s concept uses a cannula that is activated by
air pressure. The air pressure moves the tip in a circular displacement, “nutation,” and
allows for an easier evacuation of fat from the treated area.
The new technique is less traumatic because fat extraction becomes
more effective and in turn, needs fewer passes of the cannula
by Dr. Johnson. VAL also greatly enhances “High Definition
Sculpting” in abdominal procedures. VAL makes it more comfortable
and provides greater definition than previous technologies.
“As soon as I finished my first VAL case, I knew it
would be an integral part of our liposuction procedures.” – Dr.
Bill Johnson
Another great benefit of VAL is its ability to emulsify fibrous
fatty tissue easily, which was extremely difficult to do beforehand;
this is especially beneficial in men. The VAL technology also
adds even more safety to Dr. Johnson’s liposuction procedures
because the cannulas are not heated during treatment.
Advantages to patients include:
Less pain
Less edema
Better and faster recovery
Less trauma to tissue
Less bruising
“The decreased discomfort during the numbing process
and the quality of fat that is removed is very impressive…and
the post-op swelling and bruising is far less than with previous
technologies.” -Dr. Bill Johnson
The vibration frequency of 10hz releases endorphins during
the procedure and increases the comfort of the tumescent anesthesia.
These principles were the result of a study of over 100 scientific
notices which spanned for over 3 years around the world without
any objections.
